The Heritage Motor Centre is located at Gaydon in Warwickshire, England. The centre is open to the public, and houses a collection of important vehicles, celebrating Britain's motoring heritage.

The collection now cared for by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust was developed in the 1970's when a new division of the British Leyland organisation was formed to preserve and manage the company's collection of historic vehicles. In 1979 the company became BL Heritage Limited, adopting a new headquarters at Studley, Warwickshire. Two years later, a museum was opend at the London Transport Museum's former home of Syon Park, west of London, were some 100 vehicles from the collection were put on display.

During the early 1980s closer ties were made with other British motor manufacturers. In 1983, the collection was granted charitable status and became the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, and although there were now several manufacturers involved, the collection still carried a large bias towards former British Leyland companies. Austin-Rover continued as the primary backer of the Trust, and gradually the other companies withdrew their support. Meanwhile, the collection continued to grow.

In 1951 a third national aerospace factory, WSK-Świdnik, was built in Świdnik, and in 1957 it was renamed to WSK "PZL-Świdnik". Since 1956 it has become one of the world's major helicopter manufacturers, producing helicopters such as the Mil Mi-1 and Mil Mi-2 under Soviet licence. Świdnik was the exclusive producer of the widely used Mi-2. Since the late 1980s, Świdnik has been producing a Polish-designed helicopter PZL W-3 Sokół. It also produces a light helicopter, the PZL SW-4 Puszczyk. After 1991 the state factory became a corporation (WSK "PZL-Świdnik" SA). It also produced the PW-5 and PW-6 gliders and cooperates widely with other nations' manufacturers, e.g., in the manufacture of Agusta A109 fuselages. Recently, the factory has entered talks with Sikorsky regarding licenced production of the UH-60 for the foreign and domestic market, should the Polish army procure the helicopters.

AM General H-1 and H-2 Plant near Osceola in Indiana.

Hummer is a brand of large off-road vehicles (H1) or sport utility vehicles (SUVs) (H2, H3, H4) sold by General Motors, also known as GM. They are based on the military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee). The Hummer is one of the larger 4x4 types, with commensurate high fuel consumption. In most countries, a hummer is considered to be a truck, rather than a regular SUV as it does not meet environmental protection standards. In some countries, including New Zealand and Australia, a truck licence is needed in order to operate the Hummer.
